For Dumbo Art Festival in New York City, the committee chose our proposal to demarcate the buildings and streets of Brooklyn with life size architectural notations, such as one-to-one architectural scales, North arrows and linear/radial dimensions. We laser cut cardstock and used environmentally friendly homemade paste. During the night, we pasted notations throughout the streetscape, and counted over 80 notations.
The notations were left on the buildings and streets for weeks, until we had to go back to remove them. The most exciting part of this project was how pedestrians interacted with these pieces. Dimensions varied throughout the city and the actual notations were life-size.
